All MOHW Employees Must Self-Monitor

May 4, 2020

With respect to staff members who have been in quarantine, the following applies:

  • All persons who have completed their quarantine period as dictated by Quarantine Orders, and have been assessed as Low Risk, are to return to work at the end of the period beginning on Monday May 4, 2020.
  • All persons who have completed their quarantine period as dictated by Quarantine Orders, and have been assessed as HIGH Risk, are to repeat their test at the end of the period and return to work if test is negative.
    • Persons with a positive test on repeat must remain in quarantine until further advised.
  • If no Quarantine Orders have been served, then persons are to return to work 14 days after they were tested.

Additionally, effective Friday, May 1, 2020, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • Supervisors are to identify individuals who do not have access to email and internet so that a call can be made to check if any symptoms have developed while in quarantine or otherwise.

  • Any person who has symptoms would need to be re-tested; their quarantine period would be extended to await results and the supervisor is to be informed. The supervisor is to then advise HR of this new development.

As we continue serve the people of Jamaica, team members are encouraged to ensure that they consider their own health and well-being and that of each other.
