Introducing the Chief Technical Director, Health Reform
July 6, 2021
Welcome our new Chief Technical Director, Health Reform, Regional Health Authorities, Ms. Maureen Golding.
Ms. Golding is charged with the responsibility to lead the Ministry’s efforts to reform the Regional Health Authorities (RHAs). The reform of the RHAs is aimed at reorienting the mandate of the RHAs towards health outcomes; centralisation of certain functions (such as Information Technology Services) and outsourcing of certain ancillary, general services to improve overall efficiency and quality in clinical and public health service delivery.
The reform of the RHAs also includes the strengthening of the Service Level Agreements to ensure their effectiveness and that they are systematically monitored to drive accountability, quality and performance.
The Chief Technical Director is also responsible for the implementation of key strategic projects of the Ministry, including the Enhancing Healthcare Services Delivery Project.
We give a warm welcome to Ms. Maureen Golding and ask that you extend the usual courtesies and cooperation to her as we all work to achieve the goals of the Ministry of Health & Wellness.
