Health Ministry Hosts Public Session on New Coronavirus
March 9, 2020
The Ministry of Health and Wellness will this Wednesday (March 11) host a public sensitisation session on the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
The event will be hosted at Emancipation Park in New Kingston, beginning at 6:00 p.m. It is one in a series of public meetings being hosted islandwide by the Ministry.
“The session will allow the public to hear the details of Jamaica’s Comprehensive National Response Plan for COVID-19 while providing them the opportunity to have any concerns they may answered,” said Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr Christopher Tufton.
The session forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to ensure Jamaicans are given accurate and timely information on which to base decision-making about their health and safety, given the risk presented by COVID-19.
